Fortech and Mastercard join forces to promote new data solutions for corporate fleet payments

We are pleased to share a strategic partnership with Mastercard to develop a new feature for fleet cards, a solution designed for issuers in Italy and across Europe.

This initiative addresses the growing demand for process simplification within fleet management, a sector that counts over one million company vehicles in Italy alone, with long-term rentals representing 30% of new registrations.

According to a recent Webfleet survey, 91% of Italian fleet managers plan to increase their investment in technological solutions over the next five years. The partnership between Mastercard and Fortech fits perfectly within this context, offering an open-loop fleet management solution that provides direct access, via corporate payment cards, to enriched transactional data such as vehicle license plate, mileage, fuel type, liters dispensed, price per liter, invoice data, and more.

Thanks to the integration between the Fortech and Mastercard platforms, this data will be made available to fleet managers to simplify accounting reconciliation and compliance with local fiscal and regulatory requirements. Designed to be compatible with existing acceptance networks, the solution will reduce implementation costs and time while integrating directly with Fortech’s electronic invoicing platform, Fattura1Click.

The new solution offers practical tools to optimize operating costs, improve transparency, and support sustainable mobility.

“This collaboration highlights Mastercard’s commitment to supporting partners and businesses in driving innovation across key sectors — and, in this case, simplifying and improving fleet management and mobility,” said Luca Corti, Country Manager Italy at Mastercard. “Together with Fortech, we are helping fleet managers and issuers more easily access the information they need to control costs, enhance transparency, and accelerate the transition toward smarter mobility.”

“Fortech is pleased to collaborate with Mastercard on this initiative,” added Massimo Banci, Head of Business at Fortech. “Our expertise in data management and compliance, combined with Mastercard’s global reach, enables us to deliver real value to fleet customers across Italy and equip them with the tools required for the new era of mobility.”

Pilot projects are expected to launch in Italy in 2026, with plans for further expansion into major European markets.
